  1. pchprizepatrol I have a serious question …

    1) If PCH is assigning a random number to an entry.
    2) Then PCH has the computer create a random number.
    3) PCH then attempts to match the computer’s number to the entries’ numbers.
My question is…Isn’t that a LOTTERY???

As I understand a SWEEPSTAKES as randoming choosing one entry from a pool
of entires. Thus, therefore there must always be a winner in sweepstakes
(unless the selected entry is disqualified from violating a contest rule).

Am I misunderstanding how you select your winners?

  2. I really think they need to change how this is done. Keep going until you
find the first winning number and give the number the superprize….just
    weird to me

  3. I get 5-7 emails a day telling me I am going to win the following amounts
    5000 a week, 7500 a week, 8500 a week, 10,000, 1 million dollars, 3 million
dollar dream vacation, 10 million dollars and enter every time for over 13
years now I enter and still waiting in CA which I can’t recall a time a
    winner has been from here

  4. Just a question, does the superprize number ever get picked from an early
look? I’ve never seen it that I can remember. This is a serious question.

  5. One Million Dollars don’t equate to 4 years of $7,000.00 a week for
life…$364,000.00 before taxes, and that is just 1 year, do that for 4
years $1,456,000.00 before taxes which is more than the $1,000,000.00 you
are now about to present…PLEASE SPARE ME THE DRAMA!!!! AM gonna talk
smack, because you aren’t visiting me…that’s for damn sure!!! Keep
    Scamming Folks…need to stop!!!

  6. This sounds like misinformation. If they already know the winning number
in the pool then they have chosen who’s going to win and the event isn’t
random like they claim. They’re probably just trying to put more suspense
and drama into this prize. I don’t know if anyone else has but I’ve gotten
emails upping the ante of the prize so this announcement would fit with
    that.

  7. Hi Danielle, You and Dave should both come by my door. Don’t forgrt the
flowers I need some brightening up! Of course! I’ll gladly take a million
bucks. Even after the tax it’s still a handsome amount of cash.

  8. I would be thrilled to get out of debt and help my friends and family. I
have been playing since 1990 plus…My car is 15 years old, in good cond.
and my son keeps it running. I also have several charities near and dear to
my heart. Animal rescue, breat cancer…oh, I need some dental work. Since
I lost my insurance……well, you know the rest !!

  9. How is this “breaking news” when it happens EVERY. FUCKING. TIME?! I’ve
been entering the sweepstakes and following on Facebook for quite some time
now and every single “early look” turns out to be a flop. I can’t remember
the last time REAL “superprize” was awarded. But It’s no surprise. You
(PCH) say it yourself: the entries for the sweepstakes are the cheapest and
most effective form of advertisement you could use. And you purposefully
use a flawed, “no win” system so that you never have to deliver on the big
prizes you promise. A REAL giveaway always has a winning number. Every
lottery brand out there has a winning ticket. You use a computer that
randomly spits out numbers as “entries” and then when it comes time to pick
a winner instead of drawing from those numbers you tell the computer to
spit out another randomly generated number and IF, by some cosmic
probability, that number matches one that was randomly generated before,
somebody actually wins something. Your system is flawed, but you already
KNOW that. You LIKE it that way ,because that means less money you have to
put out. You make it sound like this “million dollar prize” is some great
thing, and sure it is a large sum of money, but for a $5-7000 a week for
life prize winner, they’d have more than that within four years, so you’re
actually saving yourself money by giving away this consolation prize. And
    people actually buy into it.
